Do heat pumps work in Kelowna? What about when its cold?
Heat Pumps work by taking the warmth out of outside air. The latest versions of Heat Pump can do this even when the weather is cold outside. In the event we receive extremely cold temperatures, some older models of heat pumps may struggle to keep a space warm. In these circumstances we would recommend having some form of backup heating system, whether that be a gas furnace, an electric heat coil, or a wood stove.
